A BNSF train traveling through downtown Woodward derailed Thursday afternoon at around 5:30pm. At last report, 20 cars derailed from the train, some spilling asphalt tar and soybean oil. Crews from BNSF, as well as members of the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and the National Transportation Safety Board are on the scene assessing the damage and beginning clean up.

Woodward Emergency Management Director Matt Lehenbaur and BNSF Public Information Officer Kendall Sloan joined the K-101 Morning Show to update the situation downtown and explain the plans for cleanup.
