Drought conditions continue to intensify across the Tri-State Area, as most of the region falls into the moderate and severe drought categories, with a few pockets of extreme drought. The latest maps from the United States Drought Monitor released today (June 18) shows a band of extreme drought across eastern Dewey, northern Blaine, and northwestern Kingfisher counties, and another pocket around Perryton.
There are currently burn bans in effect for Beaver, Major, Dewey, and Alfalfa counties.
